Anonymous, after 1856, galon, cotton, wood, metal, wool, silk, Crossbar banner: 133 × 84 × 3.5cm (1330 × 840 × 35mm), Banner: 118 × 79cm (1180 × 790mm), Support stick: 237 x 9.5 x 7cm (2370 x 95 x 70mm), Banner of the Second Section Vereeniging Het Metal Cross. The banner is made of white silk, with cotton on the back, with a painted medallion on the front on which the Dutch virgin with war attributes with the text SECOND SECTION LEIJDEN. On the back is a crowned shield containing the city coat of arms of Leiden, held by two lions as shield carriers. At the top are a Metal Cross Medal (1830-1831) and a Citadel Medal (1832). The banner and medallion are lined with gold gallon and the banner also with fringe. Tassels hang from the two points at the bottom. The wooden crossbar has a metal cross in the middle in wood.
