She is depicted sitting on an armchair, turned a little to the left and looking at the viewer. She is dressed in a high-necked, fitted black dress with woven floral motifs. Thin white sleeves can be seen under the flared sleeves. Along the neck she wears a white collar in points with an oval brooch with a floral pattern in the middle. Her right hand rests on the lap and the left arm on the seat back. She wears gold bracelets on both wrists. The woman has smooth hair cut back and she wears hanging earrings. On the right is a red draped curtain and on the left is a wooden table with a large green vase. The background is grayish. Signed bottom right. Pastel is in a gilded wooden frame and is behind glass, 1950.
