A gentleman stands in front of a watering place placed to the right of the gate. A man with a bag on his back walks to the right, where a woman is doing laundry and another woman is unloading a peat barge. On the right are two windmills with houses in front of them in a landscape with trees. At the far right is a bridge over the Binnenvestgracht. Signed bottom left. The painting is in a gilded wooden frame.
