Beatle Wigs . Down in Bethnal Green there's a new industry booming. The entire ground floor of a looming factory block is given over six days a week to turning out the neatest line in Beatle wigs you ever did see. It takes an average of twenty minutes to turn out each shaggy wig and this factory is making - and selling them - at at rate of 1500 a week . " The demand is fantastic ", says Mr Butler , the boss. " We can't produce enough ". The wigs start as felt cut-outs to which brown or black fur is stitched .
