To the left of center is Pilate, looking at the viewer, with a white turban on his head and dressed in a brocade cloak trimmed with fur. He is washing his hands in the water that the man on his right offers in a bowl. This man has a white cloth over his right shoulder and pours the water from a jug with his right hand. Two other men are watching on the left and center. To the right is a view outside, where men with halberds and morning stars stand to keep out intruders. Not signed. The painting is in a black-painted wooden frame and is behind glass, 1977.
