Knight of the Order of Constantine in ceremonial robes of blue mantle, white tunic and scarlet hose. Said to have been founded in AD343 by the Roman emperor Constantine. It received its official rules and statutes in 1190 from Isaac-Angelus Commenus, Emperor of Constantinople. The sign of the order is a red cross made up of four fleur-de-lis surrounded by a border of gold. Copied from an illustration by Christoph Weigel in Philipp Bonannis Ritter-Ordern, 1728.
