Ex-communist agent Hede Massing is shown telling senate investigators today that she recruited two state department officials for Soviet espionage work and said she and Alger Hiss agreed they worked for the same boss. Mrs. Massing, former wife of Gerhardt Eisler, international communist leader, said that the officials were Noel H. Field, then in the western european division of the department, and the late Lawrence Duggan of the latin american division. She gave her testimony before the McCarran antisubversives committee. Anm.
