STORFAMILJ

Orig. bildtext... THE ROUND DOZEN FAMILY. 31 year-old Mrs Joan Evans of Birmingham - already mother of six children - is so determined to have a family of twelve, that when the doctor told her recently that she must have no more children of her own, she and her husband Harold, a 30 year-old labourer, took immediate steps to adopt the other six. Mr and Mrs Evans have now taken the six children of a neighbor into their tiny terraced home in Ladywood, Birmingham, and are looking out for larger accomodation. Their own children - three boys and three girls - range from four-months to nine years, while the new members of the family - two boys and and four girls from 8 months to 8 years. If the foster children settle down happily, they will then be properly adopted. There just can't bee too many children about the place for Harry and me, said Mrs Evans. They need constant attention, but they make a home. Harry earns £10 a week. Photo shows: Some of the happy family Evans from Birmingham with Mother and Father Joan and Harold. The children left to right (front row) Miriam and Johnny (to be adopted), Hildred, Peter, Danny, Susan; (back row) Fatima (to be adopted), Allison and Richard. They will soon be joined by the other three. Anm. Fosterbarn Adoptivbarn Adoption Grupporträtt Syskon CD342 persons: HARRY EVANS;JOAN EVANS sites: STORBRITANNIEN;BIRMINGHAM.
