They treated Christians free of charge and did their best to promote the religion. They were much beloved and many people prayed for their lives out of gratitude for their many services. As their fame spread the jealousy of their teacher began to grow. It reached a climatic moment when the two brothers were called upon to heal the Emperor of Rome. Because of their success their former mentor had them killed in a fit of rage. As a result of their good works they are considered to patron saints of amily and marriage. Their Saint's Day is celebrated on July 1 and November 1.
