Green's of Mexboro Ltd, shop in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, 1963. A photograph commissioned by Associated Diaries Ltd showing Mr Fred Green's corner shop in Mexborough. Mr Green traded in the South Yorkshire area for many years, eventually selling the business to the Co-op. Mr Green left a substantial sum to Mexborough's Montague Hospital in his will which funded a new wing of the hospital. Mexborough's bypass was later renamed in his memory. A Ford Anglia from Associated Dairies can be seen parked in the side street.
