Service of the Order of the Bath -- By Command of the King Sovereign of the order, 36 knights grand cross of the Order of the Bath were installed in the chapel of King Henry VII, Westminster Abbey on Empire Day. The King enrolled the Duke of Gloucester as great master of the order. The Queen, though not a member of the order, accompanied the King in the procession between Abbey Chapter house and the Chapel.The Duke of Gloucester followed by the King at the Abbey during the ceremony. June 14, 1951.
