Lepidodendron Fossil

Fossil of Lepidodendron, a giant clubmoss common during the Carboniferous Period. Lepidodendron grew to be 100 feet tall, and had a thick stem coverend in non-woody outer tissue. This fossil stem has diamond-shaped leaf scars.
