Said to bee the only armless flier in the world Loxla Thornton of Fresno, California, will attempt to fly from N.Y. to Paris early this spring, in a specially constructed plane. Thornton flies any standard make of plane, without any special attachements other than an iron hook, and has been flying for the past nine years in commercial and exhibition work without a single accident.
